Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Commission after 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION'. Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile.

Note:- 
(i) A ranked list will be prepared for Idukki district in pursuance of this notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year, subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised for appointment against the aforesaid vacancies and also against the vacancies, if any, reported during the currency of the list. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry of the period of three years, the duration of the ranked list shall be extended for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from the list whichever is earlier.

(ii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a Revenue District  basis,subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O(Ms) No 154/71/PD dated 27/05/1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one Revenue district from the ranked list prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he/she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transfer is allowed after 5 years,it will be subject to the rules in GO(MS) No.4/61/PD dated,02.01.1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one District are prohibited from applying again for this post. But they can apply to higher posts when notified.

(iii) 3% of vacancies for the post shall be reserved for eligible PH Candidates vide GO (P) No. 11/2009/SWD dated 10.02.2009.

5 Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment

6 Age limit : Age :18-40, Only candidates born between 2.1.1973 and 1.1.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post. Other Backward Communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation
Note:- For concessions regarding upper age limit, subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case exceed 50 years. Please see para (2) of the General Conditions under part II of this Notification.

7. Qualifications
A Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed/BT in the concerned subject conferred or  recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subjects are specified in Note (iii)  below).
Note:-
(i). Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher  education will be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose.
(ii). Candidates applying for the post should have sufficient knowledge in Tamil , which  will be tested at the time of interview.
(iii) The applicants should have taken Physics/chemistry as main subject for graduation.  Degree in Geology (Main) with Physics and Chemistry as subsidiary subjects with  B.Ed Degree (Physical Science) can also be considered as an alternative qualification for the post (G.O (Ms) No. 195/96/G.Edn. Dated, 02/07/1996).
(iv). Post Graduates in concerned subject with B.Ed/BT are also eligible to apply for the  post.
(v). Post title degree holders are not eligible to apply for the post of high School Assistant.
(vi). Degree in the concerned subject and B.Ed means B.Ed should also be in the  concerned subject.

8. SPECIAL CONCESSIONS REGARDING APPOINTMENT AND AGE LIMIT
(i) Preference will be given as laid down in G.O. (MS) No. 50/70/PD. Dated 12.02.70 and G.O. (MS)No 9/78/ G.En. Dated 21.1.78 to the wives of Jawans in the matter of recruitment as teachers if they possess the prescribed qualifications. Soldiers in active service and those working in Base Establishment are included under the terms of Jawans. Wives of Jawans must select “Are you entitled to any priority” as “Yes” on on-line application and give details in the following space. Such candidates should produce proper certificate from the Officer Commanding stating the Name, Military rank and Military address of their husbands and produce the same as and when required by the Commission (G.O. (MS No.509/64/Edn.Dated 19.9.64, G.O. (Ms)No.614/65/Edn. Dated 9.11.65 and G.O. Ms)No.243/66/Edn.Dated 27.05.66)
(ii) First class scouts and guides will be given preference in the matter of appointment as teachers (G.O.M.S) No.122/75/G.Edn. Dated 27.05.1975)and G.O (MS) No. 50/70/PD dated 12.02.1970).
(iii) Teachers of the Government primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified will be exempted from upper age limit. G.O(M.S) No.185/70/Edn. Dated 18.04.1970 and GO(MS) No.466/70/Edn. Dated 11.11.1970. They should produce proper certificates from authorities concerned.
Note:- The candidates who claim concessions on the basis of any of the reason mentioned in para 2 of the General conditions should select “Are you eligible for age relaxation” as 'Yes' on the online application and give details in the space following.

10 Mode of submitting application:-  Candidates shall register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION ' system on the Official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.giov.in' for applying for the post. Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging on to their profile using their User- ID and password. Candidates shall click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification link for applying for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates can view and have a print-out of the details in the profile by clicking the link Registration Card, if required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of the password. Before applying for a post, candidates must ensure the correctness of the information on their profile. They shall quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Applications once submitted will be received as provisional and particulars shall not be deleted or altered after submission. Applications submitted not in accordance with the conditions of the notification will be summarily rejected. Documents to prove Qualification, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for .
